  • Salesmanship is an absolute necessity in order to survive in a business of this kind. It is important to analyze whether your personality suits the business requirement.
  • It is important that you can take initiatives. You are the boss in this business. Right from determining goals to achieving them you must be self made.
  • You should either contact your lending institution or the American Mortgage Licensing website to know the rule of the state where you intend to start your practice.
  • Do not forget to attend real estate and brokerage classes in a near by college or university.
  • Pass your licensing exam as a first step towards your business.
  • This business requires a lot of networking and hence keep tab on the employment opportunities with a mortgage lending firm.
