  • Scam artists target those people who are on a look out for a huge windfall to save them from their precarious condition. Old, Weak and Poor are the soft targets of scam artists who take advantage of their situation and try to cash out of it.
  • Where a credit repair agency promises to open a new credit account or open a new credit history by making use of your employee identification number (EIN) from the revenue service, beware it’s a scam, it is totally illegal to recreate reports.
  • EINs have the same number of digits as that of Social Security Number. While businesses can use their EINs, it is illegal for individuals to use them.
  • Even though new credit forms are always available, later you will find the government authorities running behind you for credit fraud.
  • Another common scam is promising a loan. Where you find organizations charging you an upfront non refundable fee, stay alert.
