National Associations of Mortgage Lenders

There are several governing bodies across the country which requires that lenders especially mortgage lenders should be a part of various associations formed specific to the nature of service provided by them. Every licensed mortgage lender is normally a part of one of these associations in order to ensure that he gets the benefits passed on by the council or association, in addition to the recognition gained by the association with them.   • National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB) – This association is in existence since 1973 offering to serve the interest of brokers who are members of this association. It offers to provide the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards for its members. It is associated with close to 50 state associations.
  • National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association (NRMLA) – Every reverse mortgage lender is required to be part of NRMLA.
